5 Exciting and Fascinating Classic Adventure Games for Mobile

If you were a big fan of adventure games while growing up in the 80s and 90s, you'll be glad to know that many of your favourite games have been repurposed for the mobile platform, and many new games have been developed since then that capture the spirit of the classic point and click.

In this list, we try and cover some of the more popular point and click adventure games that you can play on your phone, whether Android or iOS.

1) Grim Fandango Remastered

First released in 1998, Grim Fandango represents the golden age of the point and click adventure genre. Here you play Manny Calavera who travels around unraveling a secret conspiracy.

2) Broken Sword: Director's Cut

The Broken Sword series began with this one game, also called Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars. The light 2D animation means it fits nicely into your phone and can now be downloaded from Google Play Store.

3) The Lost City

Enter a world where magic rules, and you have to find the keys to controlling the power of a lost city nobody believes in. In the classic tradition of adventure games like Myst comes this little gem, developed by Fire Maple Games specially for the mobile platform.

4. Simon the Sorcerer

Believe it or not, Simon the Sorcerer was first released in 1993, but has since been remastered for the mobile platform. Simon is a rather caustic teenager who is magically transported to another world, and meets plenty of interesting characters along the way.

5. Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers

Another favourite from the early 1990s, Gabriel Knight is a horror adventure game, where you have to solve a series of murders, leading to dark discoveries of Voodoo magic. This is a remastered version, featuring more fluid movement and gameplay.
