8 Scary Movies for a Night In

It's one of those nights where you just don't want to go out. It's raining cats and dogs outside, and you'll get soaked even if you step out with an umbrella. What better way to keep yourself warm and cosy, than by giving yourself a few jump scares.

It would be great if you could call a few friends over and have a scream-fest together too. Keep in mind that all these movies are for those 18 and above, so no little kids should be in the room:

1. The Exorcist (1973)

Spinning heads, twisted limbs and a whole lot of vomit landing on a priest who tries to rid a girl of a demonic spirit.

2. Cabin in the Woods (2012)

What seems to be a mundane haunted cabin, turns out to be so much more.

3. The Blair Witch Project ( 1999)

Shaky amateur camera work adds to the tension and realism of this movie about youths running away from a mysterious force in the woods.

4. The Others (2001)

Watch a mum try to keep her children safe in a supposedly haunted house, only to discover a heartbreaking secret about herself.

5. The Ring (1998)

A cursed videotape kills anyone who watches it within 7 days.

6. Ju-On: The Grudge (2002)

A mother and her son who were murdered in a jealous rage come back and haunts anyone who visits their house.

7. The Witch (2015)

Follow a religious Puritan family as they move away from their community to a secluded spot near the woods, and start having strange experiences.

8. Scary Movie (2000)

Not actually scary, but will bring you to tears nontheless. Through a good laugh that is. Watch it if you're a fan of horror movies to see them lampoon all the popular horror movies out there.
