Many people have a misconception that anime describes purely animated series or movies made in Japan. However, anime is a distinct style of storytelling that has been adopted by animators all around the world. These are some of the titles that are worth checking out.


1) Noblesse (South Korea)

Noblesse tells the story of Cadis Etrama Di Raizel who wakes up after 820 years of sleep. Now he has to fit into modern life, and the first step is to attend school.


2) RWBY (America)

RWBY (pronounced Ruby) is an American made web series about four young women named Ruby, Weiss, Blake and Yang who are training to become Huntresses at the Beacon Academy to hunt down monsters and protect the world.

3. Cupid's Chocolates (China)

Jiang Hao Yi is your average guy, but his life is about to be turned upside down when a bunch of strangers confess their love to him.


4. Wonderful Days (South Korea)

This futuristic story tells us about the city of Ecoban, which has been built by the elite to escape severe environmental pollution. They make use of the poor who live in the wasteland to generate energy for their city, but trouble is brewing.


5. Wakfu (France)

Based on a video game, this series now has an English dub on Netflix. It revolves around Yugo and his quest to find his family, with the help of his friends.
