Chinese Parents Name their Newborn Daughter After Best Selling Mobile Game

One of the best performing games this year is a multiplayer online battle arena game from China. If you haven't guessed it yet, it's Honor of Kings, also known as Strike of Kings and Arena of Valor outside China.

The game has been downloaded more than 200 million and has a record 80 million active players daily. Honor of Kings was developed by Chinese company Tencent Holdings and has become a household name in China.

Now images are circulating on Chinese social media, apparently picturing the registration form for a special new baby. Most of the other details have been blurred out, but the baby's name in the upper left section is clearly filled out with '王者荣耀' (Wángzhě Róngyào) which is the Chinese name for Honor of Kings.

The document seems legit and carries the seal of the Shaan' Xi provincial police in Xi'An who are legally authorized to issue personal identification documents in China. No reaction has yet been recorded by Tencent Holdings for now, but netizens who have seen this picture are largely amused and hope that the child will grow up liking the game too.
