First Ever Multiplayer Battle AR Game Coming With New iPhone

'The Machines' is the perfect example of how augmented reality gaming is truly the future of mobile games. Made by Directive Games 'The Machine' is meant to take the world by storm as it uses Apple's ARKit platform and the Unreal engine to develop an immersive and realistic AR game

The Machines was given a special promotional spot during the recent Apple Keynote address that unveiled the new iPhone 8 and iPhone X.

During the demo session, Atli Mar Sveinsson, CEO of Directive Games was able to construct a battle field via an iPhone onto a table, and a colleague was able to move around the different parts of the battle field by leaning in and out of the table, and moving around.

In The Machines, players engage in shooting battles with other players, either virtually in real time, and even at the same table. If players lean in, the game audio becomes louder, giving you a spatial reality aspect that's rarely found in other games.

'The Machines' doesn't have a release date announced yet, but Sveinsson did say that we can get it around the time the new iPhone 8 is released , which has already happened on September 22nd.
