'Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow' Teaser Trailer Released

Bender, Fry, The Professor, Leela, Dr Zoidberg and Amy Wong. If these names make your heart tingle, that's because you're a Futurama fan. This animated series was created by Matt Groening, the same guy behind 'The Simpsons'.

The last Futurama episode was aired in 2013, but that doesn't stop its legions of fans from wanting more. Somewhere last year, the people behind Futurama announced that they were making a mobile game based on the series, and now at last, there's some promising news.

A teaser trailer of the game has been released, with a lot a juicy details about the game. For starters, it will blend simulation, combat, galactic exploration and choose-your-own-adventure elements. If it sounds like there's a lot going on, that's because there really is a lot going on, just check out the trailer:

On a more serious note though, this is something Futurama fans have waited for for a long time. It would be even better if the series came back for real. For now though, a mobile game will suffice. The game incorporates some good old fashioned 16-bit spaceship battles, as well as some social simulation too. Here are some satisfying visuals from the game for your enjoyment:

So far, no solid date has been announced for its release, but it can't be long now. Just stay safe from the Hypnotoad in the meantime.
