George Takei Joins Creative Team Working on 'Kubo A Samurai Quest'

If you grew up in the 1970s and 80s, you would have seen George Takei on TV a lot, since he was part of the original crew of the Enterprise on Star Trek. Nowadays he seems to have a finger in every pie, including directing, voice acting and social activism.

Just recently, he's joined the Hong Kong based gaming company called Fifth Journey as creative director. One of their main projects is a game called Kubo A Samurai Quest, which is based on the Academy Award nominated animation Kubo and the Two Strings.

Takei was actually a voice actor in the animation, playing a character called Hosato and reprises that role in the mobile game. Additionally, he has helped to develop new characters and new storylines for the game, while working at Fifth Journey's branch office in San Francisco where he lives.

Kubo A Samurai Quest has been available as a soft launch game in many parts of the world since August 2016, but has now been released fully worldwide, so you can find it at the App Store or Google Play.
