King's Knight: Wrath of the Dark Dragon is The Latest Final Fantasy Universe Game

Back in 1986, Square, the precursor of today's Square Enix, released a scrolling shooter game called King's Knight and it has since made an appearance in the latest Final Fantasy XV Universe as Noctis' favourite mobile game.

Those who've played the FF XV video games know that King's Knight appears in some scenes where Noctis plays it on his phone and talks about it with his companion. Now King's Knight has made it's way out of the virtual FF XV world into the real one.

Players will now be able to download King's Knight for free on both iOS and Android devices. The game has been given a completely contemporary makeover.

In the game, Princess Claire of Olthea is abducted and four warriors go in search of her with the blessings of the time god Khalam. The game is a vertically scrolling game, just like the 1986 version but much faster and with better graphics.

The game is a multiplayer one that supports up to four players and early bird players will enjoy special promotional goodies for the first few weeks, including an extra 160 Regalites, which is the in-game currency.

Additionally, there's going to be a Milestone campaign where all players will get 50 Regalites and the 'Retro Princess Claire' character once the game hits half a million downloads. If you log in before September 29th, there will be a Final Fantasy XV crossover event called 'Final Fantasy XV X King's Knight Giant Boss Campaign' where players can help Noctis, Prompto, Ignis and Gladiolus defeat monsters by sharing the battle online. Once the bosses are cleared, you get 225 Regalites and a bonus King's Blade weapon.
