Musiverse Review - Audiosurf with waves

Score: 4/10

  • Able to shoot obstacle blocks.
  • Multiple control options.
  • Good music and graphics

  • Stages bounces up and down to much.
  • Hard to see the track

Musiverse takes from a popular audio game, Audiosurf, but does it on mobile and adds their own spin on it. Some changes are appreciated, such as the ability to shoot down blocks. Other changes, such as losing the ability to stack blocks may not be appreciated by players. The change to the track layout, however, makes the game a bad experience for anyone whom easily gets nausea.

As a music rhythm game, the music is good and seems to consists mostly of techno tracks. Controls are easy to use, and you have the ability to change the controls from tap to tilt. The volume of the music and SFX can be changed to the player's preference, and there is a measure of progression and unlockables to be discovered as the player plays the game.

It's a shame that the designers of the game did not think about the players whom can easily get seasick. Having an option to turn the bouncing nature of the tracks off would make the game a better one.
