Spend Some Time With These Anime Twins

Futago kyoudai or twin characters are popular in many anime and can sometimes be the main characters themselves. However, even if they're not the main protagonists, their presence carries the story along in a way that a solo character can't

In most anime, twins are portrayed as having a deep understanding of one another and can almost read each others' minds. These twins have some of the best chemistry portrayed in a series and are worth a watch:

1. Hansel and Gretel from Black Lagoon the Second Barrage

They're not your usual sweet pair of lost brother and sister. In fact, they're pretty cold and deadly. Both twins were abandoned as children, which left them with life long scars. They're also able to switch identities pretty easily.

2. Kanba and Shouma Takakura from Mawaru Penguindrum

When their younger sister is saved from a mortal illness by a penguin spirit, the twins have to go on a quest to discover the Penguindrum to repay the spirit for extending their sister's life.

3. Rin and Yukio Okumura from Ao no Exorcist

Despite being twin brothers, these two couldn't be more different. Yukio the younger brother is much more advanced and intellectual, to the point that he becomes his older brother's teacher in the magic academy.

4. Zero and Ichiru Kiryuu from Vampire Knight

Both Zero and Ichiru have been raised at Cross Academy as Vampire hunters, but only one of them seems better suited to the job. This causes a lot of tension between them and makes for a lot of dramatic moments.
